First Responder - Full Course 2024-25
Course Summary
Thousands of people become ill or injured every day and physicians are seldom close by when these types of emergencies happen and EMS systems have been developed for this very reason. The purpose is to get trained medical personnel to the patient as quickly as possible and to provide emergency medical care at the scene and en route to the hospital.
You have made a great choice in deciding to become an Emergency First Responder. I believe strongly that being able to access and care for patients requires much more than just technical skills. It requires one to be a good leader, and good leaders demonstrate characteristics such as integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and empathy.
I believe I can help you to continue to be the best First Responder you can be.
This online component is part one. Part two is a skills demonstration and practice session.
Parts one and two must be completed within 30 days for successful completion of the course.
CPR for the Healthcare Provider is also required. Please provide a copy of your certification card when you do your skills.
If you do not have a CPR card and need to take the course, contact the course administrator to schedule the course.
